United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.

Humanitarian Assistance

Description of activities
Capacity building training for NGOs to carry their programs particulrly with their right to participate in peace building and conflict resolution, management, and communication skills / For women NGOs from conflict and post conflict situations.
Support projects to work with women and NGOS on reproductive health, gender based vioelnce, as well as protection of women and girls / all over the world were there is conflict or post conflict situation particularly were there are IDPs.
Develop and introduce guidelines on policy interventions with regard to population and development interventions. / All over the world were there is is conflict or post conflict situations.
Provide funding for institutions and agencies, and NGOs to conduct training and provide services for women and girls in conflict and post conflict situations . / all areas of conflict and post conflict.
Train field staff on reproductive health and gender based violence particularly in IDPs camps. / All over the world including Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Gender

Building capacity for women and women's NGOs to render them able to participate in peace building and reconstruction and reconcilaition efforts.
