This multistakeholder stocktaking dialogue is being co-organized by UPEACE and UNHCR in close collaboration with Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. In light of the multiple crises and unresolved conflicts causing unprecedented global displacement, we acknowledge the urgent need for enhanced coordination and to collect effective practices led by grassroots actors. The Global Compact on Refugees recognizes broadening the base of support through multistakeholder and a partnership approach, with local actors contributing to the protection and solutions-oriented agenda for and with forcibly displaced and stateless persons.
The aim of the dialogue is to collect good practices, reflections, perspectives and approaches to create specific repositories and guidance based on the local and regional experiences to highlight the contributions of local actors. We want to strengthen collaboration across sectors and hear about your organisation's rich and varied contribution towards refugee, internally displaced, and stateless persons’ protection, the role of law and policy and other practices towards building and maintaining inclusive, just and peaceful communities that leave no one behind.
