Among the highlights of 2024 was the 11th edition of Geneva Peace Week, which gathered over 6700 participants and hosted more than 70 dynamic and insightful events. This engagement reaffirmed the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform’s role as a convener of diverse voices and a catalyst for innovative peacebuilding efforts. 2024 also marked a significant institutional transition for the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, as it formally changed its status to a foundation and relocated its office from the Geneva Graduate Institute to the DCAF - Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance. This period of transformation was accompanied by the launch of a new visual identity, reflecting the platform’s evolving mission and renewed commitment to its core values.

The Platform deepened its international partnerships through a new Memorandum of Understanding with the University for Peace (UPEACE), strengthening avenues for knowledge exchange and capacity-building. Throughout the year, the Platform facilitated a range of events, including breakfast briefings and the second edition of its specialized peacebuilding training for diplomats. In addition, the Platform navigated a strategic transition of its communities, ensuring their continued alignment with evolving peacebuilding needs and priorities.

As the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform embraces this new chapter, it remains unwavering in its mission to foster inclusive dialogue, bridge global perspectives, and champion collaborative action for sustainable peace.
