On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shimon Peres, the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize and 9th President of Israel. The UN University for Peace published « The Shimon Peres' legacy on peace through fourteen historical speeches » in a launch event organized at the United Nations in Geneva, in partnership with the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform, The Peres Center, World Jewish Council, Reichman University and the Permanent Mission of Israel in Geneva. 

The book was edited by, Amb. David Fernandez Puyana, Permanent Observer of the University for Peace to the UN in Geneva, and Dr. Daphné Richemond-Barak from Reichman University in Israel.
