Geneva Peacebuilding Platform Welcomes Two New Board Members

The Geneva Peacebuilding Platform is pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Ms. Hiba Qasas, Founding Executive Director of Principles for Peace, and Mr. Itonde Kakoma, President and CEO of Interpeace.

With decades of experience in peacebuilding, governance, and international development, Ms. Qasas brings a strong track record of shaping global peace and policy dialogues. At Principles for Peace, she has spearheaded efforts to establish inclusive and sustainable frameworks for peace processes, with a focus on locally driven and values-based approaches.

Mr. Kakoma, who recently assumed leadership of Interpeace, adds deep expertise in conflict resolution and peacebuilding practice at both grassroots and policy levels. His commitment to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, and long-term reconciliation aligns closely with the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform’s vision of promoting collaborative and holistic peace efforts.
