Geneva Peace Week (GPW)  is a flagship initiative of the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. GPW is a leading annual Peace Forum in the international calendar through which organizations in Geneva and their international partners come together to share knowledge and practice on a diverse range of topics related to peacebuilding across contexts and disciplines.

Geneva Peace Week 2026

By synchronizing meetings and events on different topics related to the promotion of peace during one week, GPW maximizes synergies between organizations in Geneva and their international partners, focusing on the cross-cutting nature of peace. 

Previous editions

As GPW enters its 13th edition in 2026. What began as a modest initiative, with 10 events and 200 participants, has transformed into a flagship moment in the global peacebuilding calendar. Since its 10th anniversary in 2023, the GPP has successfully positioned GPW as a leading international forum, drawing 6,700 participants in 2024 and 5,700 in 2025.

The consortium

Driven by suggestions from the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform team, the Consortium governs the strategic decision-making process regarding Geneva Peace Week that includes, among others, the thematic direction of each edition, criteria for applications, event formats and participation modalities. Members of the Consortium (listed below) work collaboratively to bring diverse perspectives, innovative ideas and different skills to the table to achieve a common goal: making each edition of Geneva Peace Week a unique experience.

 

Geneva Peace Week Meets...

Geneva Peace Week Meets is an extension of Geneva Peace Week. This initiative brings the spirit and dialogue of Geneva Peace Week to regions around the world, creating opportunities to engage with peacebuilders in diverse contexts. By convening key actors in the field of peacebuilding, Geneva Peace Week Meets fosters connections, highlights regional perspectives, and strengthens collective efforts toward sustainable peace.
